In the morning of May 17th, the opening ceremony of first international culture festival of Zhejiang A&F University was held. Lujia Miao, Minister of Student Affairs Department of CCP and section chief of Sudent Office, Yiwei Qiu, President and CCP secretary of International College, Chen Shengwei, deputy minister of Propaganda Department of CCP, Hou Ximing, deputy CCP secretary of the Communist Youth League, Benjun Zheng, Art and Design College and deputy secretary of CCP of the College of Humanities, Tea Culture, Ping Huang, deputy secretary of CCP of the School of Foreign Languages, and Yan Li and Lijie Cheng, vice President of the International College attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, President Yiwei Qiu present an important speech. He warmly welcome leaders, teachers and students to attend the first International Cultural Festival on behalf of the International College. He briefly reviewed the positive contributions made by the international students at school for Chinese and foreign cultural exchange and the great efforts made by the International College for the Chinese and foreign culture exchanges and friendship exploration. He said, the International Culture Festival is a new exploration of Chinese and foreign cultural exchange, and will enhance understanding and friendship among students from all over the world, show elegant demeanor at the stage, and appreciate the extensive and profound of Chinese culture and rich and colorful of world culture. He wished the first International Culture Festival a complete success.

Then, the Chinese and foreign students bring up a collection of artistic performance with their own youthful vitality and passion. Chinese students sing English songs, play Chinese tea art performance, and jazz dance. Foreign students show the beautiful dress. Thailand students perform dances of graceful. Mongolian students perform personal solo. African students singing and dancing, bring the atmosphere of the cultural and artistic performance to a climax.

The International Culture Festival is also equipped with static demonstration, included "Asia pavilion", "Europe pavilion", "African pavilion " , showing the photos of country brief, characteristic festival and national costume of important countries in the region.

The International Culture Festival is held jointly by International College and the School of Foreign Languages, in order to spread Chinese culture, promote international cultural exchanges, and improve students’ cultural quality. The 1st International Culture Festival composed of four sessions: "purple fantasy, multinational exhibition", "green youth, speech competition", "blue imagination, different culture salon", "red passion, New Year Party".
