7、 Dr. Marc Janssens is a tenure professor at the Institute of Crop Science and Resources Conservation, University of Bonn, Germany. He obtained his Doctor of Science in Horticulture from Louisiana State University, American. Prof. Marc Janssens engaged in the work of tropical agriculture for many years. He has lived in Africa for over 10 years, servicing for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a senior African agricultural expert. His contributions included application promotion, agricultural development, farming system, and assessment, organization and advanced training of parts of Africa agricultural research system. He has teach and research in most African, Europe, the Americas and Asia countries, covering tropical plant breeding for sweet potato, cacao, Mate (Ilex paraguariensis), sesame, cassava, and tropical agricultural system improvement included mixed cropping, rotation, biomass management, protection of agriculture, fruit and woody crops, energy efficiency, etc. Prof. Marc Janssens is serving as expert for Germany Senior Experten Service (SES, also known as the Germany International Cooperation Foundation) and expert for agricultural evaluation the China Ministry of Finance.
