To celebrate traditional Chinese culture, the International College held the "Scents of China" workshop, bringing together more than 30 international students from six countries to make ornaments from medicinal herbs and experience the charm of traditional herbal wisdom.

The instructor gave a lively introduction to the history and philosophy of traditional Chinesemedicine, from classic texts to the “medicine and food sharing the same origin”concept, andpresented common medicinal herbs such asAngelica sinensis, goji berries,Poria, dried tangerine peel, andAngelica dahurica, explaining their properties and scents.

In the hands-on session, students made bracelets, necklaces and phone charms from dried medicinal herbs under the instructor’s guidance. "I never imagined Chinese herbs could become such beautiful ornaments," "it's amazing!" said Jiana from Egypt.

Combining TCM culture with hands-on creativity and emotional healing, the activity helped students understand traditional Chinese culture and relieve stress through focused, calming craftwork.

The college plans to continue using traditional Chinese culture as a bridge, creating more activities that integrate knowledge, fun and healing to support international students’ growth.
