Zhang Rui, a Sudanese student at Zhejiang A&F University, tied for first in the second round of “Hi China: My China Story,” a Zhejiang showcase where foreign youth tell China’s stories in Chinese, winning the “Best Storyteller” title.

Zhang went viral for an impromptu street dance with Quzhou’s internet-famous “Peddler Granny.” The unscripted video, which drew wide praise online, shared rural Zhejiang’s charm with audiences at home and abroad.

The win reflects the university’saccomplishment on“Perceive China” program.
