To the International College Community:
亲爱的国际学院全体师生：
Welcome back to International College! The building of IC on the campus of ZAFU is humming with the activity and promise that a new academic year brings. As I write, our freshmen here in IC are getting settled into their new residences, and I am delighted to report that we received nearly 40 new students, from nine different countries. They will contribute to the diversity building of IC.
欢迎大家返回国际学院！浙江农林大学主校区国际学院楼欢腾忙碌，满怀希望地迎接新学年的到来！我写此信向返校的各位老师和同学们表示热烈的欢迎！日前，我院新生们正在安顿新居适应新环境。我很高兴我们大家庭迎来近四十位新同学。他们分别来自九个不同的国家。相信他们将为国际学院的多元文化的建设作出贡献。
In my first year as IC's executive dean I wish deeply and will commit as ever to our mission and vision. International college seeks to prepare students for lasting achievement and responsible leadership through a superior, student-centered learning experience integrating Chinese culture and international education. Based on what I learned, it is clear to me that IC is on the path to seeking a right way to a truly great college known for its quality international programs, dedication to students and commitment to university.
作为国际学院副院长主持工作的第一个学年，我对我们的事业寄予厚望并将一如既往为实现国际学院的美好使命和愿景努力工作。国际学院将通过为留学生提供卓越的、以学生为中心、整合中国文化和国际教育为一体的学习体验保证其成就，并提升他们的领导力。令我感到欣慰的是，国际学院已经迈出坚实步伐，以探索把自身建成具有高质量国际项目、全情奉献服务学生、为农林大学添誉增辉的优秀学院。
To help us move forward, I wish to work with you and our community to identify institutional priorities for the next a few years, and these priorities will be aligned with our strategic plan, IC Rising. Meanwhile, in the new academic year, we will develop a specific action plan for each priority in order to help us focus our resources most effectively.
为了学院的发展，我决心和大家在未来几年，努力规划国际学院的优先战略和相应的实施计划，为我们国际学院的“升起”提供引领和催化作用。与此同时，在这个新学年里，我们还将为每一个优先战略制定出特别行动方案以帮助我们共同高效地运用好我们的资源。
